Brazil nuts are nature’s evidence of specificity and perseverance. Because Brazil nuts grow only under a narrow range of conditions, the trees grow almost exclusively in the Amazon rainforest. After pollination, it takes the nuts 15 months to develop. The trees are so tall that there is virtually no way to harvest except to wait until the nuts fall to the ground in their shells. Once they are collected, there are further steps to refine and prepare them for market. In any case, we only sell fresh and tasty bulk brazil nuts.
